Another question from a TWL n00b:

Are gaps between components (i. e. in an BoxLayout) or borders made with any widget properties or is this something, which is completely done by the theme?

By now I can't really distinguish between what exactly does the theme and not :(

Yeah - these things are set by the theme. Some widgets have javadoc on their applyTheme methods but not all (yet). You can always check the source for that method - it should be very easy to see which parameters are taken from the theme.

Ok, and the dialog layout gaps are an exception to that rule, right?

The dialog layout gaps (the named gaps and the default, small, medium and large gaps) are taken from the theme - see the simple.xml for example.
