Hi folks!

Been abit on the downside of Project Europa lately, much things is happening with the gamedev studio that I work with, we will be trying to get that bird off the ground and start livin the life of Indie developers full time :D
This have made me unable to concentrate 100% on my own projects, but as many of you guys know, its hard not to do anything personal ;) Esspecially as I dont work with coding at all over at Spell of Play, 100% gfx artist there.

Anyway, the intro is done and you can imagine why Im posting this new project! I want to do something small for once, with the keyword small!
I have started on doing a oldschool platformer that will have the primary resolution of 320x240, this will get dubbled ingame to make the pixels pop out and to give it that oldschool feeling :D

I have started some on the graphics, Im useing a homemade 256color palette that will be used to make all the gfx for the game.
I tryed to give it a nice sepia tone as base and made the colors based on that one, I want to have a nice zombie feel over it all so to say!

The story in short: A Zombie attack have plagued the town of Arkham (Lovecraft rulez so im going to base it in he's world) and Jim's granny has been kidnaped by the Zombie King! Jim have to go through a couple of levels to get to the Zombie King In the house of the ghouls, on his quest he will have to cross such places as Ye Olde Graveyard and the old trainstation and Arkham of course!

Today I got two animations to show you guys! The primary walk anim for the player and the main enemy the zombie! I hope you like it and feel free to add comments and questions and crits ofcource! :D

The sprites would look much better in its native resoulution (200%) but I can't find any tags to change this?

You can however look at some pumped up versions on my blogg over att fz.se, this is in Swedish though so I guess the text is'nt that interesting for the most of you guys ;) http://www.fz.se/bloggar/fagertveit/

Made a little mochup screen for the game with the pixel graphics that I have made so far, got the player, some enemies and weapons and the general GUI design =)

Now I just need to get all the graphics for the first level fixed up, after that I'll start the codeing process and hope to have a playable level in a month or so =)

Anyway, here's the mockup screenie! As the first post mentioned the game will be in double the size showed here, such a screen can be seen at my FZ blog, if anyone knows how to resize a image here in the forum I would appriciate if you told me, or i'll have to continue linkin the bloggie thingie for you to see the accuall game res. ;)

:D From the screenie it looks like the Zombie is holding the chainsaw by the blade.

The art (from the screenie) definitely goes well with the theme!
