I'd love to help but I have no idea what rules you'll use to do the math. ;P

just make an excel with one game for page and then sum together :D

all votes must be 0-5 so we need to divide it by 2, round down

make it indipendently from my counts, so we can compare them and proclaim a winner :D

I've started tallying up the scores in Excel as suggested. I have a few comments but I'll save that for after I post my results later today.

And there you are.

Note: I did this on Google Docs and then downloaded as .xls because I got no Excel to test, hope everything is fine. Please double check values (I'm no android).

Never round up or down. We don't want to lose any data and then there is less room for argue.

Here are my results. I would have double checked my scores but you guys already beat me to the punch.

click here to download

The difference between 2nd place and 3rd place was very close in my results. It's great to poll the scores in the forum as it eliminates cheating by anonymous voting. However, it causes a whole set of new problems: a lot of people came up with their own grading scale. That is easily rectified but what do you do when someone typed "4,5" as their score and another who probably meant to scale his scores over a range of 5 but typed 4/10?

The other problem is that there really wasn't enough voting and those who voted didn't vote for all the games. When a game gets only one vote, whatever that reason may be, the scores can be manipulated too easily. What if I gave "Android War Last Human Defense" a 5 out of 5? It would have won without any competition. If it wasn't meant to be voted, it shouldn't have been put up in the list. Who says I should be the only one to dictate it's outcome? What everyone should have done was put down some score to be fair.

@Lex: thanks, fixed

About round up or down: I decided to round down, if someone want to change that, just open a poll, ask to community, but fast :D

@raeleus: we can't force anyone to vote anything, we can't do anything about that.

About voting and declare winners: if someone feel that calculation are not right, or maybe I (or others) are using wrong system, please speak now.

If partecipant agree, we can let decide Heldenhaft and TheMatrix154, that are guy with prizes (see here)

I think it's important use fairest method now. On next comp we can write all rules down before comp so there is little less hassle. If rounding rule decide top places it will be really sad and without rounding everything would be fairer. I opened poll which run one day. If public want use some rounding rule then we can decide which.(Nearest, ceil, floor etc)
